The term "Waiting periods" in this section deal with the time that the court requires must pass from the time the divorce is filed, and the time that the Judge signs your divorce decree.

Mississippi law requires that after 60 days has passed from the date of filing, the court will issue you a court date for the finalization of the divorce.

The law further requires that neither party to the divorce may remarry, except to each other, until sixty (60) days after the judgment of divorce is entered
